Softwareprojekt: RIoT OS im Internet der Dinge

This course will give an introduction into the IoT operating system RIoT.

Students will develop an IoT application by solving individual tasks step-by-step throughout this course.


  • Introduction into the RIoT, an embedded operating system for the Internet of Things
  • Hands-on teaching on multi-threading, network programming, driver implementation and application development for embedded systems in a step-by-step manner
  • Introduction to tools like Git, Make, etc.
  • Embedded programming in C
  • In the end, student teams will implement a small project, eg. like a web-enabled door alarm/security system
